As a QA Lead, you'll need to establishes metrics, mentor team members and manages outside resources, as well as develop test programs. You will be designing and implementing test cases and scenarios, creating test plans and taking corrective actions. You play a vital role in the company’s product development process. Additionally, will be responsible for testing the product before launches to ensure that the product is free from errors, regressions and it’s reliable.
Establish and evolve formal QA processes, ensuring that the team is using industry-accepted best practices
Oversee all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met
Act as a key point of contact for all QA aspects of releases, providing QA services and coordinating QA resources internally and externally.
Lead and mentor QA team members, as well as manage outside contract testers.
Develop and execute test cases, scripts, plans and procedures (manual and automated)
Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
Identify, record, document and track bugs using respective tools (i.e. Azure DevOps)
Identify and communicate any gaps in requirements and test cases
Perform regression testing when bugs are resolved
Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes
Work closely with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
Monitor debugging process results (Root Cause Analysis)
Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defects
At least 3+ years in a QA Lead role
Familiar with Software Development Life Cycle
Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
Attentive to details in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL and scripting
Agile mindset and familiarity with Agile/Scrum development process
Excellent communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Familiarity with performance and/or security testing is a plus
Familiarity with Azure DevOps (VSTS) is a plus
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
