Senior Laravel Engineer

You will work with a team that is building the next generation cloud-native Stock Management System that is used in Warehousing and Manufacturing. The baseline of the system has been developed, and now needs to be adapted to the needs of larger enterprises. The product is used a lot in the Scandinavian market but lately has seen a huge growth in the USA.

The team of 6 is cross-functional and it’s based in Macedonia and Denmark with face-to-face meetings at their and our premises. The team is budgeted to grow to 15 over the next year.

The system is developed in VueJS and Laravel, with a very nice UX. You will primarily work on extending the functionality, and the rest of the team will be working on the front-end. The system is hosted on AWS with managed scaling and database.

Your qualifications

5+ years of experience with building sophisticated PHP web and backend solutions:

• Knowledge of PHP: Laravel is required
• Familiarity with concepts of OOP, MVC, Mocking, ORM, CI, DI, microservices, SOLID and RESTful
• A strong test-driven mindset to ensure high software quality. Able to implement testing.
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Familiarity with SQL. Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes

Optional:

• Experience with AWS
• Awareness of security concerns. Strong knowledge of the common web server security exploits and their solutions
